Job Description

As a Mixed Signal Electrical engineer you will play a key role on our electronics team and also work with our software team. You will simulate, design, prototype and debug hardware/software for high precision, timing critical mixed signal electronics. You will also work with outside vendors for support in fabrication and assembly. The systems you develop will enhance the performance of our innovative electron beam direct write lithography tool.

This position is based at our headquarters in Santa Clara, California.

Duties and Responsibilities

o FPGA design for timing critical systems

o Simulate RTL logic and create constraints for timing

o Interface to standard buses (UART, I2C, SPI, LPC, AXI, PCIe, Ethernet, DDR3 or DD4)

o Work in a team and coordinate designs

o Design high speed boards, work with vendors on layout

Education and Experience

o BS/MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

o 5+ years of experience in FPGA design

o Proficiency in either VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog

o Familiarity with Xilinx Vivado or Altera Quartus environments

o Familiarity with developing with a Windows and Linux Environment

o Understand computer architecture and its subsystems

o Experience in mixed signal ICs (DACs, ADCs, PLLs, ect.)

o Experience with ORCAD and Allegro board design tools a plus

o Optical and electrical analog design experience desired
